For the last seven years, Timo has been a steadfast believer that plants power the future of food. As one of the only founders of a lucrative plant-based meat business that’s since been sold, he’s raring to go do it all over again. Just bigger and better.
How his passion began may be surprising to some! Growing up in a family in the meat business, Timo loves all things meat. Eventually he sought after an alternative that keeps his health – and the planet – in better shape. That’s when he discovered he’s happiest working on plant-based foods that are equally as appetising as meat.
Having a need for speed, he’s thrilled to band together an extraordinary team in Singapore so soon, to build a unique brand and scale Next Gen to new heights globally.
Andre’s deep passion for learning, growing businesses and cementing long-lasting, genuine relationships has helped him steer companies to success in a myriad of sectors across three continents. From Energy, to Private Equity, to Agribusiness, to F&B, he’s done it all – and for organisations of all sizes too, whether it’s a fledgling family business or a listed MNC.
In 2013, he had his first foray in the meat and F&B industry, and since 2018 he’s emerged as one of Asia’s plant-based food pioneers, distributing and processing products from leading food techs around the world while he was running the leading food distributor in Singapore.
When he’s not breaking new ground at work, he loves to globe-trot and embark on adrenaline-pumping adventures.
John cares a whole lot about helping people eat well. He started his food and nutrition journey as a dietitian in a hospital, before venturing into the commercial food industry in 1987. Putting on many hats throughout, he shone across various roles in companies both big and small. Along the way, he harnessed cutting-edge technology to produce potato, meat and vegan products that make mouths water.
Making a definite leap to work on vegan food 17 years ago, he loves the business for its diversity, unique offerings, and vast technologies at play.
After many memorable escapades traveling around Asia, he and his wife decided to set their anchor down in Singapore, where he found his next calling in New Gen Protein.
